A major part of the material required for implementing our projects - sheet metal,
photovoltaic solar panels, control modules - is neither manufactured locally insufficient
quality, nor available on the local markets, and must be imported from Europe. Cooperation

An example of the private support we occasionally receive is that of a farmer from Canton Zürich
who, on the occasion of her 50th birthday, asked her friends to contribute to a fund aimed at
purchasing a full set of solar equipment for a village in Burkina Faso (solar oven, parabolic cooker)
rather than giving her the usual birthday presents. This solar kitchen is now deployed in the training
centre for women in the village of Niolonioro and will free the women from the chores of collecting
firewood and using it for cooking.
